Terms of Service

Effective date: March 2026 · Last updated: March 2026

Welcome to Tiny Times. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tiny Times website and service available at tinytimes.co (“Service”), operated by Tiny Times (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility — You Must Be 18 or Older

Tiny Times is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By using Tiny Times, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

Children are the subjects of the birthday newspapers we create — not users of the Service. Any information about a child submitted through the Service is provided by a parent or guardian who takes full responsibility for that submission.

If we learn that someone under 18 has created an account, we will terminate that account and delete any associated data.

2. What Tiny Times Is

Tiny Times is a personalized birthday newspaper generator. You tell us about a child — their name, age, optional birthday, personality, favorite things, and family details — and we produce a unique newspaper-style document in their honor. The Service includes:

  • A free digital version of the personalized newspaper, viewable in your browser
  • An optional premium PDF download ($9.99), suitable for printing and framing
  • A personal dashboard to view and manage your created newspapers

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We won't be liable to you or any third party if we do.

3. Your Account

You don't need an account to preview the Service, but you'll need one to save your newspapers and access your dashboard. When you create an account:

  • You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
  • You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You agree to notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access
  • You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we detect fraudulent activity.

4. Acceptable Use

Tiny Times is built for celebrating real children at real birthdays. You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose. You may not:

  • Submit false or misleading information — including fabricated children or events intended to exploit or abuse the Service
  • Generate content for malicious purposes — including content designed to harass, defame, or harm any real person
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the Service — including automated requests, bots, or data harvesting tools
  • Resell or commercially redistribute newspapers without our written permission — personal use and gifting are fine; building a print business on top of our service is not
  • Submit sensitive personal information unnecessarily — including a child's full legal name, address, school, government ID, or financial information. We don't need this data, and you shouldn't send it.
  • Violate any applicable laws — including privacy laws, child protection laws, or intellectual property laws

We reserve the right to refuse, remove, or decline to generate any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

5. Payment Terms

What You Pay For

The digital version of your newspaper is free. The premium PDF is a one-time purchase of $9.99 USD per newspaper. You only pay if you want the downloadable PDF.

Refunds

Because our PDFs are digital products generated specifically for you, we generally do not offer refunds once a download has been delivered. However, we want you to be happy with your newspaper. If you're not satisfied with the quality within 24 hours of purchase, reach out to us at [email protected] and we'll make it right — either by regenerating your newspaper or issuing a full refund, at our discretion.

Taxes

Prices are listed in USD. You are responsible for any applicable taxes in your jurisdiction. We will collect sales tax where required by law.

6. Intellectual Property

What We Own

Tiny Times — including the website, software, design, brand, and the generation system that creates your newspaper — is our property. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our written permission.

What You Own

The newspaper we generate for you — the specific text, layout, and illustration created for your child — is yours. You have a personal, non-exclusive license to use, share, print, and display it for personal and family purposes. You can put it on the fridge, share it with grandparents, or post it on social media. You can't resell it or use it commercially without our permission.

Content You Provide

When you submit information through the intake form, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. You grant us a limited license to use your submissions to generate the newspaper and provide the Service. We don't use your submissions for any other purpose.

7. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information, including information about children submitted through the intake form. By using Tiny Times, you agree to the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We don't guarantee that:

  • The Service will be available at all times or free from errors
  • The generated newspaper will meet every expectation (though we try hard)
  • The Service will always be offered at the same price or with the same features

AI-generated content is creative and probabilistic. Results will vary. If your newspaper comes out in a way you didn't expect, see our refund policy in Section 5.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tiny Times and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $25.00 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tiny Times from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any information you submit through the Service.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Before filing any legal claim, we ask that you first contact us at [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue. Most problems are easier to fix over email than in court.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we'll let you know by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.
